Job Description -
Candidates with proven ability to help grow our financial and business solutions practice area with a background in public sector accounting and financial management, financial systems management, grant and loan programs, internal controls, budget formulation and execution, and financial reporting protocols and analyses. This position entails client delivery responsibilities. Ideal candidates should have advanced knowledge and/or experience with the following:

• Collect, analyze, organize and summarize financial data.
• Perform extensive reviews of financial documentation including, but not limited to, grants, A/R & A/P records, invoices, POs, requisitions, proofs of payment, withdrawals, contracts, etc.
• Develop methodologies to accurately account for eligible disaster-related costs and streamline delivery of disaster funds and services.
• Reconcile federal and state grants, cost estimates, audits and other products that support disaster response and recovery efforts.
• Ensure compliance with standard accounting/procurement principles as well as with the applicable laws, rules, regulations, etc.

The candidate must be comfortable interacting directly with clients, senior managers and executives. Must be prepared for intense, challenging work environment and be experienced working in a team atmosphere but be able to deliver independently.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Demonstrated experience, or interest in performing with, federal financial management operations, federal accounting standards, managerial cost accounting, budgeting and performance and internal controls.

We have an immediate need for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist for a short-term contract of three (3)-to-six (6) month duration. We are looking for consultants who can join the team immediately. The location of the work is New York City and all work must be performed onsite at the client’s location.

Hagerty Consulting is a nationally recognized emergency management consulting firm that is repeatedly called upon by local, state and federal governments. We are currently engaged in a number of challenging emergency management, disaster response, and recovery projects, including New York City Hurricane Sandy Recovery Project for which this GIS candidate would work on. The position requires the individual to:

* Maintain maps for clients and create new maps as needed
* Update and maintain shape files and database information for mapping use
* Program and update web mapping applications using ESRI’s ArcGIS API for Flex Sample Viewer
* Capturing the location of 'assets' such as bridges, street lights, road barriers, flood defenses and so on using GPS tools in the field for government agencies and local authorities
* Desk-based data capture (digitizing) to convert paper maps to GIS datasets, for example, to record the location of telecoms cables or water pipelines from original maps
* Creating and maintaining the structures necessary for GIS data storage
* Manipulation, analysis and presentation of geographical information by creating programs to convert GIS information from one format to another
* Using tools to join together different GIS datasets and create new information or investigate patterns, e.g. estimating the number of people potentially affected by flooding, using population growth figures and planning information to estimate increasing/decreasing demand for school capacity, or calculating the number of potential customers for a new supermarket and predicting buying patterns based on socio-economic factors

* 5+ years of professional experience
* Previous experience working with the FEMA or other emergency management agencies or consulting firms is helpful, but other qualified candidates will be considered

This position is being advertised as a one year contract position. At the conclusion of the one year term and based on employee’s demonstrated performance, candidate may be eligible for full time employment with Hagerty Consulting.

Job Description
The Client Services Manager will report directly to the Director of Development and will be responsible for performing strategic business development duties and responsibilities to include:
 Proactively and aggressively helping to generate new business and increase overall revenue for the firm, through working with current Hagerty directorates to research and develop new product lines, promote new capabilities, and cultivate new business with potential clients and former clients, as well as through additional follow-on work with current clients.
 Serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for Hagerty in the marketplace.
 Work to continuously establish new strategic relationships for the firm with potential clients and teaming partners that may enhance the firm’s ability to pursue strategic opportunities and grow our presence in both Preparedness and Recovery Programs.
 Facilitate the pursuit, capture, and closure of new contracts.

 Effectively promote the Hagerty brand and the firm’s customized consulting services and emergency management tools to current and potential clients at trade shows, conferences, symposiums, and business development meetings.
